Security lighting for homes and businesses

Good lighting makes premises harder to approach unseen and safer to arrive at. We fit external security lighting for yards, entrances, car parks and driveways, positioned to work alongside your cameras.
What is included
- A plan of where light is needed and where it should not spill
- External LED lights for drives, doors, yards and car parks
- Movement or dusk-to-dawn control, whichever suits
- Positions chosen to help your cameras see at night
Light that works with your cameras
Cameras see far more at night with the right light. We place lights so they cover the approaches without dazzling the cameras or shining into neighbouring homes.
Movement or always on
Movement-controlled lights come on when someone approaches, which startles an intruder and saves power. Dusk-to-dawn lights stay on through the night for car parks and yards that need constant light. We will recommend what suits each spot.
How a lighting job runs
We visit after dark if that helps, look at where people approach the property and where your cameras struggle to see, and agree where each light goes. You get a free quote listing every fitting.
On the day we fit the lights, set the sensors and timers, and check each one at dusk so the coverage is what we agreed.
Where security lighting helps most
Lighting matters most where someone could approach without being seen.
- Front and back doors
- Drives and parking spaces
- Side passages and gates
- Yards, loading areas and bin stores
- Car parks and footpaths on business sites
Keeping running costs down
Modern LED fittings use far less power than older floodlights, and movement control means they are only on when they are needed. We will set each light's timer and sensitivity so it works for you without lighting up the street all night.
Security lighting: common questions
Will the lights bother my neighbours?
We aim each light at your own property and choose fittings that limit glare and spill. Tell us about any concerns at the quote.
Can you add lighting to an existing CCTV system?
Yes. Lighting is often the simplest way to get clearer night-time pictures from cameras you already have.
Do you fit lights that come on with movement?
Yes. Movement-controlled lights come on when someone approaches and switch off after a set time. We set the sensitivity so passing cats and swaying trees do not keep setting them off.
Can lighting be fitted on a business site with no power nearby?
Usually, yes. We will look at where power can be taken from at the quote and tell you what the job involves.
